Inca Trail 4 Days 3 Nights

We start early with a transfer from your hotel in Cusco to Kilometer 82, the starting point of the Inca Trail. Here you will meet your expert guide and support team. During the first day, we will walk through the lush valley of the Urubamba River, enjoying the view of snow-capped mountains and visiting the archaeological remains of Llactapata, an ancient Inca citadel. We will camp in Wayllabamba, surrounded by stunning scenery.

The second day is the most challenging, as we will ascend to the famous Abra de Warmiwañusca (Dead Woman's Pass) at 4,200 meters above sea level, the highest point on the Inca Trail. The reward will be the spectacular panoramic view of the snow-capped peaks and the descent to Pacaymayo, where we will camp for the night. During this day you will learn about the construction techniques and roads used by the Incas.

The third day is a more relaxed hike. We begin by ascending to another pass, Runkurakay, from where we explore the archaeological site of the same name, and continue to Sayacmarca, an Inca complex in the mountains. The hike then takes us through cloud forests, until we reach the picturesque site of Wiñay Wayna, known for its impressive agricultural terraces and mystical beauty. We will camp near Wiñay Wayna, a few kilometers from Machu Picchu.

Early in the morning, we will begin the hike to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where you will have your first spectacular glimpse of Machu Picchu. Once at the citadel, you will enjoy a guided tour of the most famous archaeological site in South America, exploring its temples, plazas and buildings. After the visit, we will descend to Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco, concluding an adventure you will remember for a lifetime.
